Celebrating 20 Years at the Waikouaiti Old Post Office

We are going to be having a special afternoon this coming Sunday, with a celebration at our studio to mark our having lived and worked here for the last 20 years. There will be a special exhibition of our pottery and paintings, and I hope to be demonstrating at the potter's wheel. We open our studio door at 1pm.

Also on this weekend in Waikouaiti is an exhibition of local crafts at the new Waikouaiti Events Center . This opens at 10.30am on Saturday. We will have a stall there.

Lots of things to do in the run up to these events, so I will keep this short!

Hope you have a great time and have loads of visiters ...wish I didn't live on the other side of the world so I could visit.

Hi Angie,

Lovely to hear from you.... goodness, isn't it the middle of the night where you are?? If you're ever over on this side of the world it would be really fun to meet up, so do visit if you get the chance.

Best Wishes, and sleep well!

hope it goes well!!!
I hope summer is starting to show itself.
I'm off christmas/birthday shopping now. If you're lucky you might get a christmas present on time - but I think you could be out of luck; I have no idea on the postage times, or if I'll find anything suitable.

Hello Pat, Lovely to hear from you, and kind of you to be in touch when I know you have been so busy with all that card making. I think we are going to have to charter a plane for you (or maybe a balloon) and the other folk from Arkansas that write in, it would be so nice to share this celebration with you.

Hi Linda, thank you for that! Bring the cats, I'm sure they would enjoy sharing lizards, mice, and moths with Ginger!
Hope you will have a great trip in that wonderful home on wheels of yours. Best Wishes to You and Gary (and to the cats of course!).

Hello Eleanor,
Lovely of you to be in touch (we still owe you an Email... I was only thinking of that the other day!). Don't worry about Christmas pressies for us..., it is just so nice to hear from you and to think of you over in Europe. Hope you are well now and really enjoying yourself. I wonder where you will be for Christmas?? Happy Thoughts, Uncle P.

Hi Jewels,

I know your there in spirit! Lovely to hear from you. Looks like a nice day today, sun is coming up in an almost blue sky and all the birds are singing! Must now print off some cards with our extended hours on, and finish pricing some new pots. I've dug out some paintings and prints that I have had hidden away and put them out, and Laura has an entire wall of her paintings. Looks nice!

Congrats on 20 years! Hope the weekend was filled with lots of visitors & shoppers. Wish I could have visited too!

Thanks Judy,
It was a real success and we made some good sales too. It is a shame about the large stretch of water between us. It would have been such fun to have met up with blogging friends too!
