Group Exhibition at Koru Gallery Dunedin opens this weekend!
Laura and I both have work in the group exhibition at Koru Gallery that opens this weekend. Unfortunately I won't be able to be there, and it feels a bit weird not being able to help with hanging the show, but our good friends will take care of all that, and I am sure it will be an interesting and exciting exhibition.

I'm back from hospital after shoulder surgery that I had on Monday of this week, and am doing quite well. Reasonably comfortable, but not much sleep to be had as yet. Most of the time reading, catching short snatches of sleep, and calculating when to take the next pill for pain relief. The Surgeon, Anaesthetist, and staff at Mercy hospital were lovely, thoughtful people, and I am very thankful to friends that got me to and from the hospital, to all who looked after me there and to ACC for funding the operation.
Typing is a little difficult at the moment, so that is all from me for now. Kind thoughts to you all, and I'll try to catch up with some of your blogs over the next few days.

Thank you for getting in touch, it is nice to hear from you. I will listen to "French Atmosphere" and float along to it and think of warm summers, good food, art, music, splashed down with some imagined French wine! Armchair travelling can be lots of fun, and therapeutic!

Lovely to hear from you. Ha, ha, I will have to dream up a suitable name for the newly discovered planet. I probably shouldn't have put the photos up, a bit gross, but it is weirdly fascinating seeing what joints are like inside. I'm sure that photos like that wouldn't have been possible until recent times.
Mmmmm it will be a long time, and the 6 weeks is only the beginning bit whilst things are knitting together, after that will be strengthening and physio to get things strong enough to be useful again. Actual potting on the wheel will be phased in progressively through January and February according to the recovery plan I have been given. The time will pass though, and I'm currently enjoying some reading and sleeping!
How lovely to hear from you, it is really nice of you to leave a comment here. Regarding books, I am already on my third book since the op, and finished a lovely one at 6 this morning. I wonder if you have ever read "The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry" by Rachel Joyce? It was a real treat, full of sunshine and showers and a lot of kindness. I admit to even leaking a furtive tear or two near the end!

Good to hear from you. Exciting that you will be heading for the Land of the Long White Cloud again... You really must come south this time, each Island has its own personality, and definitely worth exploring!
I'm still hoping to get over in November a bit too late for this exhibition but I'm sure there will be other things to see. Take care.

Good to hear from you. I remember the Planet Key song that came out (then was banned) before the election of yet another National government.., I suppose that what I have is Planet Keyhole... But I'm sure a better name could be found!
